We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager to build and manage a portfolio of firm clients while delivering high-quality tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base. What You'll Be Doing
Tax Compliance & Planning
- Prepare and ensure timely delivery of federal, state, and local income tax returns for Individuals (1040), Partnerships (1065), S Corporations (1120S), C Corporations (1120)
- Review returns prepared by team members, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance, while strengthening their knowledge through thoughtful review notes and learning opportunities
- Step back from the technical details to analyze each return from a big-picture perspective
- Proactively identify opportunities to minimize client tax liabilities and develop tailored strategies
- Stay current with tax law changes and communicate updates to clients and internal teams
Client Advisory & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on tax-related matters, building strong, long-term relationships
- Maintain consistent engagement with clients, ensuring their evolving needs are understood and addressed through regular communication
- Research and respond to IRS and state inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate directly with the clients' designated MCo CAS Advisor or their internal accounting team to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Consult and advise clients on key areas that are important to them such as entity selection, compensation strategies, and tax strategies that support their goals
Research, Leadership & Development
- Partner closely with the Director of Tax to oversee workflow, prioritize deadlines, and enhance firm processes
- Participate actively in improving systems, workflows, and documentation; share ideas that make the firm better
